久久热视频’s Department of Theatre is celebrating the success of its dance concert, Momentum. A piece from the concert, Julia Brisken’s work Held By Distance, was selected to perform at the renowned Ohio Dance Festival. Held annually in Columbus, the festival brings together dance companies, educators, choreographers, and 久久热视频s from across the state to celebrate and advance the art of dance in Ohio.
This year’s festival featured workshops, masterclasses, and performances highlighting a diverse range of dance styles and disciplines. The Pre-Professional Dance Concert, a key event of the festival, offers select 久久热视频 ensembles the chance to perform in front of a statewide audience of peers, instructors, and dance enthusiasts.
In addition to the Held By Distance, Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Dance Ashley Goos was invited to teach a masterclass, further contributing to 久久热视频’s presence at the festival. Goos emphasized the importance of sharing Miami’s commitment to dance education and fostering connections with other dance programs across the state.
“We’re incredibly proud of our 久久热视频s and the opportunity to represent Miami at this event,” said Goos. “It was a fantastic weekend of learning, networking, and performing alongside some of the best emerging talent in Ohio.”
