Forbes rates Miami as one of Ohio’s best employers for sixth straight year

Forbes rates Miami as one of Ohio’s best employers for sixth straight year

University also earned spot as one of America’s Best Employers for Women earlier this summer

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ has been named one of for a sixth consecutive year.

The annual list, provided by Forbes and market research firm Statista, draws from surveys of more than 160,000 employees who work at a company of 500 or more across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Miami is ranked No. 52 in Ohio and among the state’s top 10 employees in the education industry.

Earlier this summer, Miami was among America’s Best Employers for Women, a list that was released in July by Forbes. The university also was named as one of by Forbes.

Additionally, LinkedIn recently selected Miami as one of the top 10 public schools and 50 colleges overall in its inaugural ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ Colleges rankings. The Princeton Review featured the university as one of its Best 391 Colleges this month as well.

For its Best In-State Employer 2025 list, Forbes asked employees how likely they were to recommend their employer and how they’d evaluate the workplace based on criteria that included work culture, professional advancement, and more. Those responses were used for a scoring system that also utilized survey data from the past three years.

Companies with the highest scores made the final list for each state, with 1,417 companies appearing on at least one of Forbes’ lists.

With more than 3,700 employees, Miami is the largest employer in Butler County. Miami serves more than 20,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµs across its Oxford campus, regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, the Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester, and the John E. Dolibois European Center in Luxembourg.
